Unforgettable Mid Autumn Festival 2011

Two days ago is the Chinese' Mid-Autumn Festival, which is supposed to be a time for family reunion and get together for appreciating the moon cakes, lanterns and moon-sighting. However, this year's Mid-autumn festival marked an unforgettable family gathering for me as I need to rush back to my home town after learned that my dad is having mild stroke for the second time and the gathering place is at the hospital bed.

My dad is 82 years old, in view of his weak condition, he is not able to talk to us as per normal, thus we asked him to write as a way of communication. However, 80% of time we can't understand what he is writing (we all felt dejected), we know very well that he has tried very hard with his trembling hand. He felt agitated at times in view of the failed communication... what we can do then is just keep encouraging him to re-write again and again with the hope that we can finally decipher what he is trying to say. Of course, we failed again and again...

Writing is such a simple action but at time of critical situation like this, it could means everything to you! So, never take anything for granted. He is recuperating and my wish is that he will recover soon and share with us once again what he is trying to tell us on the Mid-Autumn Day 2011.

Get well soon, dad!

"Many a time, there is no right or wrong, it's just a matter of perspective and judgement!"

Cheers!
