Can't Wait To Watch Thor - The Dark World

To be frank, prior to the 2011's Thor, I have little knowledge about this muscular, long haired, red cape and constantly with a giant hammer's superhero. After the show, I quite like how Chris Hemsworth portrayed the titular role and also the charismatic and funny villain, Loki (by Tom Hiddleston).

Next week, the sequel, Thor - The Dark World will be released in the cinemas and I can't wait to watch it in 3D (or IMAX 3D).

Come and think of it, what would I do If I have Thor’s Mjölner (the Hammer) for a day? Hmmm... I think I will do the same as what Thor do best! Use it to hammer those ungraceful people around us (first come to the list will be the man spitting on the women countless time at the Woodland Bus Interchange ;-)).

TED - The Naughtiest Teddy Bear I've Ever Seen! But He Is Cute

Courtesy of omy.sg, managed to catch the Premiere of TED (in Singapore), the MOST popular teddy bear in town. Directed by Seth MacFarlane whom brought us the popular Animation TV series, Family Guy, since 1999. Thus, adult-theme slapstick jokes are expected. By the way, he is also the voice of Ted.

In fact, I was so immersed in the movie and having fun-time with the character of Ted that I have almost forgotten that he is just an animated figure. How I wish I am John [by Mark Wahlberg] and having Ted as my buddy ;-).

No doubt, he is foul mouth and cheeky in the movie but hey, this is a M18 [Matured18] movie, thus, adult theme is expected. Even though he is the naughtiest teddy bear in town now but he is still LOVABLE. Can't wait for the sequel to be released next (in the pipeline)!

Brief Synopsis of TED:

"As the result of a childhood wish, John Bennett's teddy bear, Ted, came to life and has been by John's side ever since - a friendship that's tested when Lori, John's girlfriend of four years, wants more from their relationship"

Posters/Stills of TED:

Bonus Poster: With me as a cameo :-)

I hope you can catch it in the theatre near you (as long as you are 18 and above in Singapore) and LOL like I did!

Cheers!

Just Can't Get Enough Of The Avengers

By now, I am sure you folks have come across (one way or the other) the multimedia releases of the forthcoming blockbuster movie “The Avengers”. Be it the teasers, trailers or even the movie posters, the only response that I can muster is “Wow!”. I truly believe that the movie will live-up to its hype.

If you are still clueless, The Avengers is a Super Heroes comic-book adaptation movie. Following the like of Spiderman, Batman etc… the major difference is that there will be many more heavyweights super heroes appearing in this movie to share the limelight. To name just a few: Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and a few others. So, besides expecting the marvellous special effects, do look out for the great performance from the lead actors/actress (I means the super heroes).

Among all the super heroes, my favourite is Ironman, it is because Robert Downey Jr. has portrait him inch perfectly in The Ironman 1 and 2! Following are some media I've extracted from the web for your viewing pleasure:

Last but not least, do catch Marvel’s The Avengers in cinemas this 1 May 2012 and like the Official Marvel's The Avengers Singapore Facebook Page and subscribe to Marvel Singapore YouTube Channel!

Cheers!

Real Steel

Don't worry, I am not going to share with you how to differetiate the real steel from the fake steaal! In fact, the steel is not even the main focus here. What I am going to share is the upcoming highly anticipated blockbuster movie entitled "Real Steel".

Synopsis of the movie Reel Steel is as follows:

A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, “Real Steel” stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now, nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Hmmm... just thinking out loud and wild, if I've got one of such steel robot, what function would I want it to have?? I would want it to be able to run/fly at high speed so that it can fetch me to whereever I want to go (bearing in mind that the car and petrol cost in Singapore is ever increasing..).

Joke aside, I hope this movie will wow me with inspirational speeches and interesting plot (it reminds me with the movie, Rocky actually) so that I can come back here once again to write a positive review of this movie at a later stage.

Catch Real Steel in cinemas this 6 October 2011 and like the Official Real Steel Singapore Facebook Page!”

Cheers!

"Trustworthiness is the main currency that you should accumulate in any relationship as once it is lost, you can hardly earn it back!"

By the way, tomorrow I am going to watch the long awaited sequel of the most famous Panda in the movie - Kungfu Panda 2. Will update you folks on my review in the next post.

P/S:

Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 : On Stranger Tides (3D)

Last weekend, I watched the movie, Pirates Of The Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides (3D) in the new IMAX theater at Lido, Orchard Singapore. The show is fantastic, the super sharp sound surrounding system and 3D effect is superb! Of course, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) never failed to thrill the audience, again. And there are mermaids and zombies to look out for as well....

However, there is one small flaw regarding the IMAX experience (not on the movie though) is that the IMAX screen is smaller than I expected (as compared to the similar IMAX theater at Bangkok, Thailand that I've visited a few years back).

Overall, the movie is highly recommended! For those who are going to watch it, do stay back until the end of the credits there is a 3-4 seconds of surprise ending shot appearing after that...don't miss it!

If you want to read more details about the movie, click HERE!

On the same topic, I always have a belief that we can learn something out of every movie. So, my learning from this movie is: "Be fun and happy in whatever role you are playing!" (inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow).

Last but not least, my sharing of the original quotes:

"By adjusting the point of view and add additional space (to your mind), you are literally changing Impossible to I’m possible"

"True friend is the first one to appear when you failed/down, not when you are successful/happy!"

Cheers!

Blockbuster Movies Not To Be Missed

Tomorrow is Vesak Day (Public Holiday in some countries), which informally known as "Buddha's Birthday". For those who are Buddhist and celebrating it, Happy Vesak Day!

For those who are into movies, there are a few blockbuster movies coming to the theaters near you, mostly are sequels though. As I am a movie buff myself, I am taking this opportunity to recommend 3 must watch "akan datang" (coming soon) blockbusters for your consideration:

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides :
I don't think I need to introduce too much of the fourth sequel of this highly successful pirate franchise, or more famously known as Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). Expect lots of action, thriller and humour, especially from Captain Jack! A MUST for action movie lovers!

Official Movie Trailer:

2. Kung fu Panda 2:
A very funny and highly acclaimed animation movie. The Panda or Po or Jack Black (actor) will kick your ass in this sequel, in a fun way! It is also starring (voice by) big name actors/actresses like Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Gary Oldman etc..

Everybody like Kung Fu Fighting...Hoo! Hak!

Official Movie Trailer:

3. X-Men First Class:
Prequel to the X-men franchise that brought us Woverine, Mystique,Magneto etc..it bring us to the younger years of the well known heroes/villain with supernatural power. Another action-packed movie.

Official Movie Trailer:

Enjoy!

Before I part, here is the sharing of my original quote today:

"To move on, you need to see your future as far as possible AND see off your past as fast as possible!"

Cheers!
